The weather has been dry and warm--no rain in October at all! Very unusual. Doing my best to work through latest frustration--excessively sore knees for almost 2 weeks now. (They're feeling better today--I saw Dr. Aaron for acupuncture on my hammy and for cupping today, and we did an extra 45 minutes of needles on both my knees.) Last Sunday (October 27) I went to track practice and did 10 x 400m with some teammates. I had taken Aleve night before and morning of, so actually my knees didn't hurt much at all. They seemed to be inflamed, as opposed to, like suffering from a tear or something. Tender on front of knee cap, just below cap, toward inside (especially on my left knee). Google gods suggest it might be Pes Anserine Bursitis, which is basically an inflammation problem. Anyway, more to be careful with, care for. Here are the times for my 400s (2 minutes rest between each):

1) 93 seconds
2) 91
3) 93
4) 92
5) 92
6) 93
7) 93
8) 90
9) 89
10) 91

Tuesday, I hit the track at Penn after my Pilates Reformer lesson. My knees were hurting a lot (no Aleve or anything). I was attempting to run 15 x 300m, 2 min. between, but I could only do 10, and not very fast either:

1) 82 seconds
2) 80
3) 79
4) 80
5) 85
6) 83
7) 73
8) 74
9) 79
10) 78

Here is a video of me finishing up the last 300 meters:

I did my PT leg exercises (skipping the ones that may have been the cause of my knee pain to begin with) at the gym on Monday and Wednesday. Thursday (yesterday--Halloween) I had Pilates in the morning and then went to the gym (ran each way, btw) and I did the stair machine for 30 minutes (20 minutes at level 10-12, then up to level15 for 5 min., and then back to level 12 for the last few minutes). Did chest / shoulders / back this week at gym. I love doing pull ups and bar dips--back to basics!

Pictures from track team practice on Sunday:

Anyway, tomorrow will be a 3-4 mile outdoor run, and the gym for PT leg exercises and weighted leg exercises. Sunday we're heading to the city to visit the Whitney and see a show on Broadway.
